The Student Counseling and Mentoring Unit at Zewail City of Science and Technology has organized the second employment forum for contributing to empowering young people and qualifying them for the labour market, whether from the city’s students or graduates from various Egyptian universities and institutes, in the presence of a large number of representatives of major companies operating in Egypt.
The forum witnessed the participation of more than 40 leading companies from diverse industries, with a total of 160 representatives from their departments and divisions.
At the forefront was Helwan Fertilizers Company (HFC), which has made significant strides in providing job and training opportunities to over 450 young professionals with specialized degrees in science and engineering.
These graduates are from top-tier Egyptian universities and institutes, both public and private.
It is no wonder that HFC is a benchmark for the industry, setting an example that others can follow to create a brighter future for Egypt's economy and workforce.
Dr. Sherif Sedqy, the CEO of Zewail City, expressed his utmost delight at holding the specialized forum for the second consecutive year.
He confidently declared that the city is dedicated to equipping its students and graduates with the essential skills and qualifications to meet the dynamic requirements and needs of the labor market.
He stressed that employment forums have a major and important role in bridging the gap between scientific research, academic study, and industry needs, and strengthening ties and partnerships between Zewail City and the industry sector, as well as being one of the important means of identifying the potentials and abilities that young people need, and thus working to hone talents and skills that suit market needs.
Zewail City of Science and Technology's organization of the employment forum is part of the city's commitment to positively contribute to the development of Egyptian society. The city continuously works to train and qualify Egyptian youth, opening up opportunities for graduates to work on their own projects. By attending the forum, young people can benefit from the city's strategy and work towards a fulfilling career, as he added.
